Growth of Burlap on the Marette River

Supplementary Report - Unusual Growths along the Marette River Captain, At your request that I expand our accounting of any materials of use in the district, particularly now that we have had no word from the garrison to the west for several weeks, I submit the following observation. While surveying the banks of the Marette River, we encountered several large clusters of burlap growth along the river’s edge. I cannot speak to the cause, though the quantities are notable and may prove of some practical use if gathered. The first cluster lies directly east of the Overrun Rearguard, almost at the riverbank itself. A second cluster can be found roughly three hundred paces north along the Marette River, with another three hundred paces further north again, just below the Forlorn Hope. A further cluster was observed on the opposite bank from the Sleeping Eye Mill, still along the Marette River, near the point where the Marette River meets the Veine River. The growth appears thick in these places and easily harvested from the banks. Submitted for your awareness.
