To Those Who Would Seek Honest Employ, Should you have caught wind of the goings-on at Braum’s Farm, you may have heard tell that our ways are not to every man’s liking. Indeed, some find our manner of work invigorating - like a draught of strong cider on a weary day - while others wrinkle their nose and wish it poured sweeter. We do not apologise for the rigours of our days. The land asks much, and we answer with willing hands. Yet let it not be said that we grind men to dust - no, far from it. For all our industry, we are possessed of sound moral fibre, and we hold it as truth that even the ox must be unyoked at times. Here, a man receives not one, but two full days of respite each month, and the work, though long (sixteen hours on the day), is met with fair treatment and neighbourly regard. We take no account of station or former sins - only the mettle of your soul and the strength in your limbs. If you will toil with honour, and give the field your fullest measure, then you shall find your place amongst us. There is no shame in being turned away; it is no condemnation, only a frank recognition that this path does not suit all boots. Some men we know at a glance. Others reveal themselves through their daily bearing. This is not judgment - it is discernment, born of experience and necessity. So then, if your heart is stout and your hands unafraid of earth, straw, and storm, make your way to the farmhouse that stands by the Paris Road. There I shall be.
