Vodou poisoner

Serine

Backstory

After escaping the revolution on Saint-Domingue, Serine was imprisoned in the watery bowels of the slave ship Charon. When the vessel wrecked near Marseille during the End, Serine’s capability for survival became her greatest asset. Once bound in chains, she emerged from the shattered hull of the Charon into the chaos of France. Honed by the brutality of her captivity and wielding blades bathed in poison, she presents a lethal foe. Care must be taken lest your skull become her deathmask.

Outfits

Prestige I: Maroon Bonemother

Legendary

Serine is said to have assumed the vestiges of the Maroon Bonemother, adorning herself with bone and carving upon them the same rude signs by which the hill people commemorate their dead. In the manner attributed to that grim figure of the mountains, she is reported to have taken blood before battle, believing it to carry the strength of the fallen into the living. Thus arrayed, she called to mind the savage traditions of her Maroon homeland, where the dead were kept near the living and the memory of the slain was worn openly in war.

Prestige II: Mambo’s Grace

Legendary

She walks to a rhythm no drum strikes. Each step is a prayer, each blow a rite. Touched once by a mambo’s hand, she carries the grace of spirits.
