Her skill at moving unnoticed helped her thrive during the chaos of the End. She still survives as she always has - with quick, quiet hands and feet, both in escape and attack.

The coat began in a cavalry charge, torn from a fallen hussar. The cuirass plates are older still, hammered flat and stitched into her bodice. Stripes at the legs, feathers at the hat-each piece taken, tailored, and made her own.

This visage was once worn by a woman who called herself the Iron Vestal of the New Flesh. In the months after the End, she gathered a following in the outskirts of Carcassonne, moving through the countryside in ritual silence while her adherents carried out acts of punishment and purification in her name. Witnesses spoke only of the iron face that watched without expression as the town’s order unraveled.
