Warrior nun

Marie

Backstory

When the tide of Hunger washed away spiritual and ethical conviction, Marie’s devotion remained steadfast - as unshakable as the mountain that sheltered her monastery. Once cloistered, her life was bound to silent contemplation and prayer. After the End, Marie emerged from solitude wielding a serenity that unsettles both friend and foe. Her knowledge of scripture and the human spirit make her a bright beacon to those suffering, and a force against those who exploit the weak in The World After The End.

Outfits

Matriarch

Legendary

The vestments were taken from the Monastery of Saint Paraskevi during the Danubian campaign of 1811. Abbess Theodora Mavreni later emerged as an Arch Hunger and was slain during the clearing of the complex. The garments were recovered from her quarters and later adapted for field use, their original insignia only partially removed.

Prestige I: Scarlet Inquisitor

Legendary

The garb recalls the vestments of a church court, dyed in deep cardinal red and marked with the cross. The wide-brimmed hat, once reserved for prelates, now serves to cast the face in shadow. Stiff linen and heavy embroidery weigh the garment, its finery offset by the steel bound beneath.

Sister of the Seventh Depth

Epic

The blue-green vestments were recovered from the coastal cloisters of the Order of the Seventh Depth following their dissolution in 1814. Members of the Order maintained isolation rites tied to prolonged fasting and submersion practices. After the emergence of multiple Hunger within the Tidemark Cloister, the site was purged and its vestments taken from sealed cells. The garments retain their original dyes, believed to have been fixed using mineral salts drawn from tidal basins.
