Sergeant-at-arms

Otto

Backstory

Even as a boy, Otto stood out for his immense stature and calm, watchful gaze. The son of a drunken Bavarian carpenter, he was drafted into Blucher’s Sappers and valued by commanders for his steady temperament. Often armed only with an axe, he led assaults on enemy positions.

Outfits

Prestige I: Siegebreaker

Legendary

The armor is not parade steel but workshop salvage - heavy plates pried from cannon mantlets and reforged over a grenadier’s frame. Iron layered thick enough to meet walls head-on. His gorget carries the scars of powder blasts, his gauntlets the dents of musket shot. Siegebreaker is a suit meant to turn a man into a moving rampart.

Prestige II: Black Reiter

Legendary

The armour known as the Black Reiter is said to have belonged to a cavalry officer who reached the coast after the collapse of the interior, still keeping his orders long after the regiment that gave them had ceased to exist. The cuirass was darkened by smoke, oil, and weather until it took the colour of burnt iron, and the helmet was altered by hand, its visor narrowed as if the wearer meant never to remove it before the living. The suit was later found standing upright in a storehouse near the lower quay, and Otto has kept it in working order ever since.
