Absolution

Legendary

Commissioned in 1807 for Chaplain-Major Armand Voclain of the 3rd Legion de Foi, the sword was originally a ceremonial piece intended for battlefield sermons and military investitures. Its blackened steel and gilt inlay symbolised sin and redemption, reflecting the Legion’s doctrine of divine warfare. After Voclain’s death during the retreat from Liège, the weapon passed to Captain Henri Duret, who had its edge reworked and the fuller reinforced for combat use. Absolution was reported lost to the Cult of the Gentle Mother following the Battle of Aachen in 1816, when Duret’s company was overrun during the sack of the northern quarter.

Emperor's Kiss

Epic

The sword of the Last Knight. Though once only a ceremonial blade, do not underestimate its reformed ability to cleave flesh and bone.

Old Iron

Epic

Found in the peat of some forgotten moor, the blade came up black and half-eaten, its edge blunted by a century’s sleep. It was scrubbed, sharpened, and carried again, still pitted with rust but steady in hand. A sword too stubborn to die, they called it simply: Old Iron.

Ascensio

Rare

Forged in the final days of the Siege of Saint-Vérane, Ascensio was reputedly tempered in the blood of the defenders who refused to yield. Contemporary accounts describe its creation as both an act of craftsmanship and condemnation - a weapon wrought from defiance itself, intended to commemorate the city’s fall and the unbroken will of those who perished within its walls.

Highlander

Uncommon

Once borne by Captain Iain Morcant of the Highland Auxiliaries, it was forged from the remnants of shattered regimental blades.
